The Hotel W Ibiza is located in an old tourist complex dating back to the 1980s on the magical island of Ibiza. Baranowitz+Kronenberg's idea was to transform an introverted building into an amazing hotel that promotes social interactions between guests and arouses their imagination. It is a highly refreshing and simplistic proposal that, at a simple glance, conveys what the hotel has to offer: color, fun, sun and shade.
The design centers around a selection of bold, Mediterranean colors for the fabrics of the Bandalux Projection Plus awnings. Their arrangement, and the way that guests use them, allows for a palette of colors that bring the resort to life and ensure a welcoming atmosphere. This is achieved thanks to the wide range of colors that are available for Bandalux awning fabrics.
The more-than-230 installed Bandalux Projection Plus awnings provide an efficient and dynamic solution to the issues posed by the hotel's main façade, regulating sunlight levels and providing the necessary privacy for each guest.
The entire range of Bandalux awnings are designed with maximum durability and resistance to outdoor conditions in mind, being robust yet extremely smooth to operate.
