MONEIN, FRANCE

Halles de Monein

The authorities of Monein aimed to renovate this traditional meeting point and social hub of the municipality.

Monein’s town features a 680 m² portico, hosting the weekly market every Monday in the town center.

The project replaced the old closure system with new, more aesthetic and functional solutions for the north and east arches. Wind- and weather-resistant motorized blinds and shades were installed, designed to be removable and fully integrated into the historic architecture of the portico, which is recognized as a historic monument. Vertical outdoor blinds and roller shades with Screen fabric now protect merchants and visitors from sun and wind while maintaining visibility outside.
