The VP Plaza España Design, located in the centric Plaza de España in Madrid, is a five-star hotel that serves both as an art exhibitor and as a standard-bearer for a new sustainable tourism model. b720 architecture studio's proposal meant to preserve the city's architectural landmarks on the facade and add contemporary and sustainable functionalities in the interior.

The interior design was carried out by Cuarto Interior studio in the common areas and guest rooms, and by Studio Gronda in the Wellness space and Ginkgo Sky Bar. It pursued an eco-friendly strategy which has demonstrated that luxury and protecting the environment can go hand in hand. In fact, VP Plaza España Design has received several prestigious awards, including the LEED Gold Certificate (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design), given by the US Green Building Council.

The interior was intended to define a distinctive chain style and feel to make the hotel a unique space full of works of art that highlight an unforgettable experience for its guests and to stand out among other five-star hotels. As part of its policy to reduce emissions, recycled and recyclable materials and resources have been used in its construction. The chain has also opted for a solar thermal energy system that limits the hotel's CO2 emissions. Many Bandalux systems with opaque and translucent fabrics were also chosen to improve the building's energy efficiency and guests' experience throughout the day.

Bandalux has worked on the project proposing the solutions that best adapt to each setting within the hotel. The common areas and guest rooms have a combination of roller blinds with transparent textiles as well as double box systems that incorporate blackout fabrics. Everything is automated for optimum guest comfort and to minimize fabric breakage due to improper use. These blinds allow you to manage darkness or daylight at any time of the day. Several large Arion roller blinds were installed in the Ginkgo Sky Bar.
