The East Hotel Miami was designed by the famous architects of the firm Arquitectonica in Miami in 2016, and its interior design includes creations by Clodagh Design of New York and Studio Collective of Los Angeles. Throughout the facility, the decoration and interior design of this resort are based on the principles of Feng Shui, biogeometry, radiesthesia and crystal healing, which balance and harmonize the flow of energy. A hotel with warm and inclusive rooms that are always in harmony with the style of this US city.
Bandalux took part in this project with the installation of its Premium Plus shades, all of which draw on the use of Somfy motors, to guarantee the optimal comfort of the users of the East Hotel Miami. For the bathrooms and the rooms with large windows, and with a privileged location overlooking the bay, the phthalatefree Polyscreen 550 Pearl Sand fabric was chosen. For the conference rooms and halls, which were totally lined with windows, the company provided large tripledrop shades with Pinpointe Matte L blackout fabric in grey.
The hotel’s restaurant 5to La Huella, the first location of the emblematic restaurant La Huella outside of Uruguay, also boasts Bandalux systems. The restaurant, which in keeping with its name, “5to”, sits on the fifthfloor of the hotel restaurant, needed a solution that would filter the huge amount of light that came through its windows. The installation work was very complex, as a number of decorative elements in the dining room had to be adjusted. Moreover, because the these solar protection systems had to be installed while the restaurant was operative, it became essential to work during very precise and tight schedules.
